Martin Szentiványi

Martin Szentiványi (born at Szentiván (Liptovský Ján), 20 October 1633; died at Nagyszombat (Trnava), 5 March 1708) was a polymathic Hungarian or Slovak〔(Martin Sentiváni-profesor Trnavskej univerzity )〕 Jesuit writer.
==Life==
He entered the Society of Jesus in 1653, and was professor of Scripture for five years at Vienna and Nagyszombat, professor of mathematics and philosophy for nine years, and professor of canon law and theology for seven years. For seven years he filled the office of the chancellor of the University of Nagyszombat, and in addition was for nine successive years governor of the Pasmaneum in Vienna and of the academy at Nagyszombat.
